Cheyanna and Her Butterfly

May 15th, 2006 by Terry Apodaca

Here’s the story of Cheyanna and her butterfly. A little background:

Cheyanna’s Grandparents live just around the corner from her elementary school so they pick her up every day at 3 since Marla and I are usually at work until 5 or later. Cheyanna LOVES to play with plants and animals…AND BUGS!!! So usually when we pick her up she’s either outside playing with bugs, animals, plants, leaves, anything she can get her hands on or she’s inside asleep (and let me tell you…she sure is a fart when she wakes up!!). So the other day we pull into the driveway and she’s outside. And here’s what followed…

*Note: these are better if you click the first image and use the tools that follow to sift through these.

Cheyanna found a butterfly
Cheyanna found a butterfly…

and that butterfly landed on her face
…and that butterfly landed on her face…

and she loved every minute of it!!!
…and she loved every minute of it!!!…

until we told her that it was going to pee on her.
…until we told her that it was going to pee on her.

So then she tried to see if we were telling the truth or not.
So then she tried to see if we were telling the truth or not.

I so enjoyed, the sweet innocence of this child and I shall pray every day that no predator shall take her innocence away from her!!! For, if we let them be who God created them to be, they shall be successful, if we don’t interfere. They are God’s creation, not ours!!! And God has entrusted them into our care until He can place them to where they are most needed. He has blessed us with His children and we need to take the best care we know how to of His children!!! Love, JoJo
