April 30th OneDayBlogSilence.com:
Silence can say more than a thousand words.
This day shall unite us all about this unbelievable painful & shocking event and show some respect and love to those who lost their loved ones.
On April 30th 2007, the Blogosphere will hold a One-Day Blog Silence in honor of the victims at Virginia Tech. More then 30 died at the US college massacre.
But it´s not only about them. Many bloggers have responded and asked about all the other victims of our world. All the people who die every day. What about them?
This day can be a symbol of support to all the victims of our world!
All you have to do is spread the word about it and post the graphic on your blog on 30th April 2007. No words and no comments. Just respect, reflect and empathy.
I also want to echo My Thoughts and Prayers… go out to all those involved. My heart breaks every time I think or see or read about this horrid event. It’s almost too hard to find the words, so I don’t know if I even agree with the blog silence I listed above…but at the very least it can be a time we all come together and remember those that we have lost.
UPDATE: Here’s the site of the person behind this…Steli Efti. Go have a read, he pretty much describes most of us when trying to write/blog our thoughts.
WE ARE ALL Virginia Tech Hokies TODAY!!!
I am sure most of you have seen the endless images that float around the internet and with chain emails. Most over them are even funny. A lot of people out there spend a tone of time finding/creating/and giving them a meme. Well, I found a couple sites that made me laugh for more than 20 minutes. Here are a few examples (and I’ll keep posting my favorites over time as long as they don’t ask me to stop):

They always say, wait 10 minutes and the weather in Texas will change. Guess what, it changed dramatically over night. When we usually have 70-80 degree weather this time of year, we are actually having record breaking temps. NO, not HOT temps, we are setting COLD temp records. Yep, it’s a chilly 41 degrees right now as I type this. We’ve been having snow flurries, ice rain, and the forecast shows this to continue over night again. CRAZY TEXAS WEATHER! I am almost tempted to laugh at the ‘Global Warming’ theory…but I won’t. I’ve been to Alaska to see it first hand.
Talking about Alaska, I never thought I would see the day when Texas was actually colder than Alaska. Here’s both:

Fairbanks is where my brother is living. We both love colder weather and he usually sends me a message about snow, cold, etc…asking about the heat that we usually have here in Texas. So, HA!!! We are finally colder than you Randy!
