One Day of Blog Silence

April 17th, 2007 by Terry Apodaca

April 30th OneDayBlogSilence.com:

Silence can say more than a thousand words.

This day shall unite us all about this unbelievable painful & shocking event and show some respect and love to those who lost their loved ones.

On April 30th 2007, the Blogosphere will hold a One-Day Blog Silence in honor of the victims at Virginia Tech. More then 30 died at the US college massacre.

But it´s not only about them. Many bloggers have responded and asked about all the other victims of our world. All the people who die every day. What about them?

This day can be a symbol of support to all the victims of our world!

All you have to do is spread the word about it and post the graphic on your blog on 30th April 2007. No words and no comments. Just respect, reflect and empathy.

I also want to echo My Thoughts and Prayers… go out to all those involved. My heart breaks every time I think or see or read about this horrid event. It’s almost too hard to find the words, so I don’t know if I even agree with the blog silence I listed above…but at the very least it can be a time we all come together and remember those that we have lost.

UPDATE: Here’s the site of the person behind this…Steli Efti. Go have a read, he pretty much describes most of us when trying to write/blog our thoughts.

WE ARE ALL Virginia Tech Hokies TODAY!!!

    My beloved son,

Yes-love, thoughts & prayers need to go out and forward in support for this horrific, evil act that fell upon Virginia Tech(Hookies)! I too agree with your other bloggers. We should not pray only about the horrific act that fell upon this academic community, but that we need to pray for all areas of our community that keep our world functional and the evil, horrible acts that fall upon them too! Evil does exist and we should not forget that and let our guard down, we must continue to pray for strength to fight it and not give in to it! We need to install the gift of hope, faith and belief!!! We have lost too many lives to evil and too many(believers) who try to protect us from evil in order to believe, to go forth and believe in God and ideas and proceed to be who Our Lord Jesus Christ ment for us to be.

Through this all, we must remember that it is God”s will that will be done, not ours!!! Praying and asking for forgiveness of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

You asked for it, and you got it—Mom’s comment!

Love, Thoughts & Prayers and I am with You In the Spirit Always,

    Mom
