Hmmm…is anyone really surprised? TSO isn’t TSO for noth’n. I also think that some things come at the right time and others don’t. Like in Basketball, when a coach will take a Technical for the team…get the fired up. Or when a someone is ruled out at home plate when it was clear to the entire stadium that he safe (tie goes to the runner)…and the coach is thrown from the game from getting into the umpires face. So, bad example is that silly coach from Okielite going off on a reporter because they wrote something about one of his players in question…
Another may have been Leach’s reaction to the game. Now, I will not say that I agree, disagree, or even condone it. What I will say is this though…he had better start taking this much passion for ALL sides of the ball and on the field before he’s no longer a Head Coach.
Leach awaits news from Big 12 office
I guess now it’s just a waiting game…but I have a feeling it’ll be a lot more of nothing in the end.

I’ve always been a member of Newsvine since it started a couple years ago. I thought it was a brilliant idea and wished I could have done something like that. Now look at them! They’ve grown to an outstanding size at a pace that blows most other news sites out of the water. You want up to the minute news on just about anything, you can go there, sign up, customize your own news area, and watch it all come streaming into your browser. Not only that, you can seed (get it? newsvine) any articles you want. And to top it all off, you can write your own columns/articles! How sweet is that! Now just about anybody can publish. Wait, is that a good or bad thing? I’ll let you decide, go check out what I have done over there so far. Nothing of my own, but I’ve created an area for Texas Tech (Newsvine) that’s so far just been mainly sports.
I’ve also taken out the Categories list below, and switched it to something I am toying with. I am mixing the newsvine site with my site, creating an always updated area for Texas Tech. I’ll eventually move this to my Texas Tech link, but for now this is a good way to test for future reuse. Just take a look below and you’ll see a list of items that you’ll see on the Texas Tech Newsvine site.

I don’t mind a little ribbing or some healthy chatter between two teams (rivals) when it’s game week. But it seems more and more often that others are actually taking shots (at us) rather than just making it fun.
What was it, TCU told us that we wouldn’t score a single touchdown in route to a 70-35 lose when they came to The Jone. Yeah, right. Now Javorskie Lane guaranteed a win for the Ags Lubbock. We are all aware of how that turned out. Shortly after that was released, Danny Gorrer referred to himself in third person:
“he’s got to bring his A-game when he faces Danny Gorrer. I’m looking forward to playing him. May the best man win.”
When talking about covering Michael (Crabman) Crabtree. And again, we all know how that turned out.
Karma’s a Bitch eh? Gorrer: Gorrer Out For Season
Nothing against the young man and I wish him well and a fast recovery. Just find it funny that when the opposing team decides to run their mouth in public, and have it reported in several media outlets…it’s going to bit you in the ass….

Well, Tech does it again, and in good fashion with their 35 - 7 smashing of the aggies. Thought most would enjoy this photo of the scoreboard:

Well, I haven’t updated in a while. Sorry about that. Here’s a quick update.
Summer is almost over for the kids. They start Monday (August 27th). It’s been a long summer it feels like…but lots of cool things have gone on. I wish I had more time to talk about it too…but with this new job, Marla’s new job, Sports around the corner, and Randy coming into town…I just haven’t found the time.
I’ll try to send over more updates on a more regular basis too.
I guess the main focus for this post is to kick off Tech Football!!! 12 days and counting. Come on Labor Day!!!
